Roscow Shedden

The Rt Rev Roscow George Shedden was an Anglican Colonial Bishop in the first half of the 20th century[1]. Born into a noble family[2] at East Cowes[3] on 13 May 1882 and educated at Twyford School, Winchester and Brasenose College, Oxford[4] he was ordained in 1907[5]. His first posts were at St Peter’s, Leicester and All Saints, Margaret Street when he was elevated to the Episcopate as Bishop of Nassau, a post he held until 1931. Returning to England he was Vicar of St Peter and St Paul Wantage from 1931 until his retirement in 1952. He died on 11 Dec. 1956 [6].
